SP Quick Seal Course, medium, Fine
It is a high-temperature softening and coarsely ground modified hydrocarbon for the purpose of loss-of-circulation material that is specially designed to soften and loosen at high temperatures. In oil-based mud systems, these devices are used as a part of the process. The material is another kind of water-insoluble, ultra-fine, complexed cellulose that can be used to manage seepage and loss of circulation when drilling through zones that have been consumed or under-pressured and are water-insoluble. In India, we are a leading manufacturer and exporter of lost circulation materials (Quick Seal) that are used in various applications.
Quickseal is a blend of husk, cellulose fibers and flaky LCM material. It can be used in water-base and oil-base mud, as well as work over fluids as a source of deformable, compressible particles that enhance a fluids particle size distribution, seal depleted sands and inhibit hydration of sensitive shale.
In the context of drilling chemicals, "SP Mica" likely refers to a type of lost circulation material (LCM) used in the oil and gas industry, similar to SP Nutplug. Mica is a group of minerals known for their platy or flaky structure, which makes them effective as bridging agents and sealing materials in drilling fluids.
- Course SP Quick Seal
- Medium SP Quick Seal
- Fine SP Quick Seal
This grade typically consists of larger particles intended for bridging larger voids or fractures within the formation. Course SP Quick Seal is often employed in scenarios where significant losses of drilling fluids occur into highly permeable formations or fractured zones. The larger particles help form a robust seal quickly.
Medium-grade SP Quick Seal contains particles of intermediate size. It is suitable for situations where the formation porosity or fractures are of moderate size, requiring a balance between bridging capability and flowability within the drilling fluid. Medium SP Quick Seal
Fine-grade SP Quick Seal contains smaller particles, offering superior flowability and the ability to penetrate smaller voids or fractures within the formation. Fine SP Quick Seal is used in scenarios where the formation has smaller voids or fractures, requiring a finer material to achieve effective sealing. It forms a smoother seal and enhances drilling fluid performance.
